摘要
The limited-edition Jaguar XKR Silverstone is the most desirable Jaguar on sale. The car is made even more desirable because Browns Lane will only build 100 of these feline rockets. It is the set of 20-inch BBS alloys on which the car rides that catches and holds the eye. Behind the turbine-like alloys are the most crucial addition to the Silverstone: huge 355-mm front and 300-mm rear brake disks. Ventilated and cross-drilled, the two-piece disks are clasped by four-piston aluminum calipers. Further mechanical changes include the fitting of uprated springs, revised dampers and chunkier anti-roll bars to the Jaguar's all-round double wishbone suspension layout to further tie the car down on to the road and tighten up its attitude through corners.
