摘要
In oxidation of C2-C4 aliphatic alcohols, the reaction direction and the mechanism of product formation (aldehydes, ketones, acids, and CO2) depend on the structure of alcohol. Experimental data suggest that aldehydes are formed from primary alcohols via a heterogeneous-homogeneous mechanism, whereas ketones are formed only from secondary alcohols via a heterogeneous mechanism. Part of ketones are the products of olefin oxidation, and others are formed from alcohols. Acids are formed mainly by aldehyde oxidation.
