Gastric emptying and orocecal transit time during pregnancy and postpartum

摘要：
The gastric emptying rate (GE) and the orocecal transit time (OCTT) were simultaneously evaluated during pregnancy and postpartum. Late pregnancy inhibits small intestinal transit, whereas GE remains unchanged. Moreover, the gastrointestinal hormones do not affect the gastrointestinal motility due to pregnancy.
