A comprehensive maintenance and inspection program is presented, which only minimizes costly forced outages, but also provides valuable feedback for the improvement of unit availability. These guidelines apply to: Conventional hydrogen-cooled units, generally rated between 30 and 200 MW; Hydrogen inner-cooled units, rated between 200 and 1200 MW; Water-cooled units, rated between 700 and 1250 MW.
