Heat transfer between a heated jet of air and the rubber coating of a closed cylindrical container at Reynolds numbers Re equals 200-1500 and Rayleigh numbers Ra approximately equals 10**2 is investigated experimentally. Two limiting conditions of the flow of gas and heat transfer are obtained for cases when gas jet flow regularities are manifested and when the mixing of the gas within the chamber begins. The results of a three-factor model physical experiment are generalized in the form of a criterial relation. A simplified mathematical model of the process is proposed and the results obtained experimentally are compared with computation.
