摘要
The control of the kinetics and the spatial distribution of the crystal mass are shown to be of decisive importance in the development of industrial crystallizers. The effects of micro- and macroattrition are described, with particular reference to collisions with the impeller blades and to the breakage of crystals between the impeller and the draft tube. The crystal-size distribution has been shown to be governed by the spatial distribution of the crystal mass and the supersaturation in the crystallizer. These distributions are described by means of physical and mathematical models.
