Ways to improve efficiency of flue gas purification

New conditioning system to purify gases of open-hearth furnace is developed. The system provides for application of advantages of steam-liquid dispersion, as well as, for high efficiency of heat and mass exchange processes within Venturi tube. High-efficient operation of the conditioning system is provided due to application of supersonic steam-water nozzles ensuring high intensity of heat and mass exchange between steam-water jet and flue gas flow within Venturi tube neck. When placed on 400-m open-hearth furnace the system allows to reduce flue gas dust content from 0.37 up to 0.1 g/m3.
