Standards are considered as a category of control documents. Some of the things controlled are quantity, quality, value, methods, etc. Thus, this documentation becomes vital for excellence in the production activity of any organization. This documentation begins at the beginning of or the birth of an organization and continues to be maintained and improved upon actively supporting and contributing to the healthy growth and survival of any organization. Some of the documents under this classification are known popularly as quality manuals, inspection standards, sampling procedures, vendor documentation, etc etc. There must be engineers with professional training who can sense the need for related documentation and with their scientific training and large and varied experience in a variety of disciplines can organize the material and prepare the necessary documentation which can be easily understood by all users.
