Delay-dependent H∞ filtering for neutral systems with discrete and distributed delays

This paper deals with the robust delay-dependent H∞ filtering problem for neutral differential systems with discrete and distributed delays. The resulting filter is of the Luenberger observer type, and it guarantees that the filtering system remains asymptotically stable and satisfies a prescribed H∞ performance level. The Lyapunov stability theory and the descriptor model transformation are used to analyse the system. The proposed design approach is expected to be less conservative as compared with existing design methods. Some examples are provided to demonstrate the validity of the proposed design approach.
