摘要
The sound level meters is being used by the South African industry to perform noise measurements for quality assurance and product export purposes created. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a world-wide organization for standardization comprising all national electro-technical committees(IEC). It's objective is to promote international cooperation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and the electronic fields and only two acoustic SANAS accredited laboratories to perform sound level meter calibrations in South Africa. Due to the complex structure of noise ranging over a wide frequency and level bounds, it is important that the persons who perform noise measurements in industry is properly trained. Documentation exists for industry in the form of SANS Codes of Practices for measuring noise, which will enable the industry to use recognized methods/procedures to measure noise and to increase the repeatability aspect of the measurement.
