摘要
This paper reviewed the main technologies for producing bulk polymerized acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (ABS) developed at home and abroad, and analyzed the respective features and maturity of each technology. The key techniques in bulk polymerization of ABS, involving factors influencing performance of ABS resin and method for controlling size of rubber particles, were summarized. Bulk polymerization was deemed as the best process for synthesizing ABS resin and became the development focus in this filed. The future studies on bulk polymerization technology of ABS resin would be directed to adjusting process formulation, modification by adding third monomer and preparing novel grade of ABS resin having high performance through selectively compounding the bulk polymerized ABS resin with the emulsion polymerized ABS resin.
