摘要
In the construction industry, the probability of injury accidents is directly related to the safety ability of construction workers. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the safety ability of construction workers scientifically and accurately and then take timely measures to tackle it. First, the related literature was surveyed with current shortcomings of previous studies summarized and the improvement direction identified. The evaluation index system of construction workers’ safety ability was then established. Second, the variation coefficient method of objective weighting method was used to modify the subjective weight of evaluation indices, and the comprehensive weights were determined. Based on such weights, the evaluation model of safety ability of construction workers was constructed by incorporating the fuzzy theory. Finally, this model was used to evaluate the safety ability of twenty construction workers in ten construction companies in a city, and the conclusion was drawn that fourteen of them have strong safety ability, five have medium safety ability, and one has weak safety ability. Reasonable suggestions were given to solve the problems of low education and inadequate safety training of construction workers. The evaluation model based on the variation coefficient method and the fuzzy theory is simple to operate and is also accurate. It can objectively reflect the safety ability of construction workers and can provide reference for the study of similar problems. © 2020, Central South University Press. All rights reserved.
