摘要
Digital twins tackle the challenge of operating, maintaining, or improving processes and systems remotely based on the concept that high-fidelity virtual models can mirror real-world physical assets using real-time data. Digital twins make it possible to visualise and optimise system outcomes before they happen, enabling better-informed decision-making and ultimately saving time and resources. Though there are still many challenges to be overcome, there are many potential applications of digital twins in telecommunications that are beginning to come to fruition. © 2022 Institute of Telecommunications Professionals.
