摘要
This paper proposed String Expression, a rule description language for deep packet inspection. It can describe the order and distance constraints between strings. The proposed matching method used a two level structure. The first level finds all the strings from the input by the AC automaton and the second level checks the constraints between these strings using an extended finite automaton. The experimental result shows that our proposal can provide a high matching efficiency as well as satisfy the requirement of representing complex signatures. © 2010 ISSN 1881-803X.
