Shear capacity and failure mechanism of steel-high strength concrete joint were analyzed in this paper. By means of ANSYS program and APDL parameter program, command flow was compiled, the finite element model of steel-high strength concrete frame joint was also established. It is shown that the augment in shear capacity of the joint decreases with the increase in the brittleness of high strength concrete. Based on the analysis and present calculation method of ordinary steel reinforced concrete joint, the calculating formulae for steel-high strength concrete joint are put forward, which can give reference for engineering design.
