US warns China over currency manipulation

On the currency front, the biggest news was the continued appreciation of the Chinese renminbi against the US dollar. However some experts believe that the Chinese currency is undervalued by as much as 40% against the dollar. With regards to sterling and other currencies, no significant movements have been reported. The £/euro exchange rate fell slightly while the £/US$ rate went in the other direction.
