Digital presses: Digital press update

During PRINT 05, major digital press manufacturers introduced their latest offerings. Canon presented a new full-color production printing system, the ImagePress C7000VP that incorporates new toner and drum technology, prints 70 ipm in monochrome and color. HP Indigo also introduced the w3250 featuring an inline priming station to accept standard media used in offset presses as well as enhancements to the press 5000. Kodak Versamark offerred the VT3000, VX5000 color inkjet presses, while Kodak NexPress announced the 2100 Plus and the 2500 digital color presses. Océ introduced the CPT 60 and CPT tandem systems. Other notable announcements included the Riso HC5000 inkjet system, Screen's TruPress Jet520, Punch Graphics's Xeikon 5000 press, and Xerox multiple full-color systems and applications.
