摘要
The construction industry is a major contributor to the economy of a country and this has grown much in recent years, with the credit facilities that people have acquired. Along with this development, there are also the environmental problems caused by the large amount of construction and demolition waste (CDW) that are generated from construction and demolition, which are often disposed of improperly. Therefore, this work aims to study and evaluate, through laboratory testing, the use of CDW generated at construction sites in the city of Recife/PE with the addition of synthetic fibers which adapt to use with reinforced soil. Tests of physical, mineralogical, chemical and residue mechanics characterization were performed. From the results, it was possible to analyze the feasibility of using CDW materials, encouraging the creation of a market that can produce and use recycled products with synthetic fibers for the reinforcement of the soil. © 2013 ejge.
