摘要
A streamlined 18-member Board of Trustees of Water Environment Federation (WEF) is created to make timely business decisions while representing the Member Association (MA). Under this decision, the former Board of Directors is renamed to the House of Delegates with the role assigned to discuss the interests of the MAs in WEF. The new role of WEF Delegate is to represent the viewpoint of NEWEA, represent NEWEA on House of Delegates work groups and committees, and foster a two-way communication. The major area of the work groups is to improve WEF-to-MA communications, communicate the value of WEF to the membership and public, and determine the best way for WEF to serve MAs. The available WEF specialty conference opportunities include upcoming issues on nutrient removal, microconstituents, and industrial water quality, TMDL, and water reuse.
