摘要
For an elastic-plastic design of press-fit connections analytical and numerical methods already exist [1, 3, 7, 12] as well as recommendations for the limitation of the plasticized hub crosssection [7, 12]. However, there is neither an experimental validation of the static and dynamic transmission capacity, nor scientifically founded investigations on design and joining limits. The lack of knowledge inhibits a safe design and thus an industrial application of this type of connection, with the result that the transmission capacity and lightweight construction potentials as well as the possibilities for reducing manufacturing costs have remained unused so far. This article presents the actual design limits of important hub materials, the increase of the static transmission capacity and the finite-life fatigue strength of the connection (swelling torque), which were determined in the FVA-Project 810 I. © 2022 The authors.
