Cloud Ceramics, producer of the architectural bricks has decided to expand its production capacity and focusing significantly on lower operating cost in Concordia, USA in 2005. The new stiff extrusion plant was designed by Lingl using the latest technology for direst setting green bricks onto the kiln cars. The low operating cost can be achieved by increasing automation in all the steps of the production process. The company has created another 40 million standard brick equivalents (SBE) of additional capacity at an overall increased efficiency. Lingl was the optimum solution for Cloud Ceramic, and the success of the whole plant is achieved with reliable and proven components. The Lingl installation starts after the grinding plant with a pug mill and the extruders, followed by the slug cutter and the harp cutter. The competitive advantages creates the best condition to extend Cloud Ceramic's market share.
