摘要
The complete deformation curve of concrete at early-age was measured experimentally that was called overall deformation. The overall deformation curve of concrete at early-age is characterized by plastic swelling at initial several hours after casting and then shrinking with a gradually reduced rate. The end point of swelling is defined as setting time of concrete and the shrinkage after that is the effective deformation that may induce stresses in structures. Meanwhile, the influences of starting time of measurement and environmental temperature on the measured results of overall deformation are analyzed. The results show that the measured deformation will be greatly influenced by measurement starting time and environmental temperature.
