摘要：

The American Geophysical Union (AGU), an international nonprofit scientific association, has a major strategic goal to develop and nurture the next generation of earth and space scientists. Education, public outreach, and student and career services play a significant role in achieving that goal. From interacting with the public to providing professional development for K-12 educators and early-career students and faculty members to supporting department heads and chairs, AGU is working to help address the talent-pool needs in the earth and space sciences.
