摘要
A test rig for phaser dynamic response characteristics is designed and constructed for the continuously variable cam phaser (CVCP) of D20 engine induction system, and an AMESim-based simulation model for variable valve timing (VVT) system is built. An in-depth investigation into the influencing factors of CVCP dynamic response characteristics is conducted by both simulation and test, to reveal the rule of the effects of engine operation parameters (oil temperature and pressure and engine speed) and the structural parameters of VVT system (the flow rate characteristics of oil control valve and the structural dimensions of phaser) on phaser response characteristics, offering a direction for increasing the response speed of CVCP system.
