摘要
Corrugated-web girders (CWGs) utilize the benefits of folded webs in multiple profile shapes for their promising structural performance than flat-web girders (FWGs). The folded webs enhance stiffness and strength in CWGs to mitigate out-of-plane flat-web issues such as bending, buckling, and torsion. This study provides a comprehensive literature overview of the behavior of CWGs under patch, shear and flexure, lateral torsional buckling, fatigue, and combined loadings from the past three decades. Details of experimental studies performed, numerical issues addressed, and the influence of different geometry profiles dealt with in the literature are provided. Existing design and analytical models used for strength evaluation of CWGs in patch, shear, flexure, and lateral torsional buckling are summarized. Further, different finite element modeling and meshing strategies are provided for CWGs and compared for their simulation efficiency against documented experimental results from the literature. © 2024
