摘要
Guangzhou Paper had started up a newsprint PM and has a 1 million-tonne/year mill in the pipeline. The original PM1, built by Sweden's KMW was the first newsprint machine in the country when it started up in 1936. The PM5, started up in 1956, churns out up to 60,000 tonnes/year of newsprint. The company installed PM8 in 2000 which is the widest newsprint machine in China. This second-hand unit, originally made by Beloit, was purchased from SCA Ortviken mill in Sweden. The machine, which has been rebuilt several times, has a running speed of 950m/min and a capacity of 140,000 tonnes/year. The mill's two other units, PM6 and PM7 each produce 45,000 tonnes/year of newsprint. The firm has also added a new newsprint machine from Metso Paper. Guangzhou Paper's total investment total investment in the new paper machine and 600 tonne/day deinking plant that will feed it was just RMB 750 millions. Metso Automation provided the firm with QCS, MCS and web runnability monitoring systems. Honeywell supplied the DCS for the paper machine and the DIP lines.
