Performance of IP mobility management protocols based on IEEE802.16e

摘要
The analytical modeling of performance analysis was studied for MIPv6 and its extensions, using IEEE802.16-based wireless metropolitan area networks as the wireless access networks. The performances of these protocols were evaluated by some metrics like, service disruption time and packet transmission cost. The effects of various parameters such as wireless link latency, prediction probability and arrival rate of packet on performance of these protocols were studied. Numerical results show that these protocols have different merits and demerits.
