Based on the fact that realizing blind separation of linearly mixed chaotic signals under the underdetermined conditions is intractable in blind source separation (BSS), a chaotic secret communication scheme is proposed in this paper. At the transmitter, a key series is used to encrypt chaotic source signals and construct an underdetermined model; at the receiver, the key series is first used to transform the underdetermined problem into the positive definite one, and the blind separation technology is then used to decrypt and reconstruct the source chaotic signals. Both theoretical analysis and numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed system is of better security and high precision for recovered source signals even when channel noise is very high.
