Study on brittleness of stainless steel 00Cr24Ni20Mo3Cu3 with special use

摘要
The brittleness of stainless steel 00Cr24Ni20Mo3Cu3 was studied from mechanical properties, chemical composition, microstructures and phase composition by SEM, EMPA, XRD and so on. The results showed that the excessive σ phase formed after heat treatment was the reason of brittleness of 00Cr24Ni20Mo3Cu3, and the main reasons of σ phase precipitated were excessive silicon and ferrite.
