Soft measurement method of motor parameters based on recursive least squares

The operation environment, working conditions and some other reasons make some motor parameters unable or difficult to be measured by conventional measurement instruments directly a soft measuring method based on recursive least squares method to identify motor parameters on-line is presented. The on-line identification is realized by the establishment of the steady-state mathematical model of the induction motor and the use of recursive least squares method. The system simulation model is built in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment, and experimental results verify that this method is useful to identify the motor parameters accurately and rapidly.
