The features of Lotus Europa, a new car introduced by Lotus, are discussed. The wheelbase of the car is longer, up by 30 mm to 2330mm, the chassis is much responsive and easier to package the cooling, demanded by the engine. The rear window shows off the exposed engine, behind the roof and the car uses a GM's 1998cc Ecotee 'Family 2' Z20LER engine from Astra. The engine, mid-mounted, produces 197bhp at 5400rpm and a 200lb/ft of torque at 5000rpm, with the tall-ratio, all-alloy M32 six-speed gearbox, this car is all about torque and ease of use. A Bosch ECU with full OBD and Euro IV compliance manages the engine and aerodynamically, the Europa is a zero-lift car and has a flat floor with NACA ducts at the rear to suck in further cooling air. The 17-inch wheels are unique because of its sheer light weight, and it is possible through a 995kg kerb weight. The torque engine is rapid and easy to use, despite the turbo lag and the ride quality is absolutely sublime.
