A field-development program in the South Priobskoye field in the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous region of western Siberia made use of an integrated approach as well as maximized its dedicated directional-drilling team capable. The company; Sibneft-Khantos; launched a development program designed to place 200 wells on production each year while optimizing drilling processes while saving both time and money by streamlining procurement and logistics programs. The operator defined focus areas such as upgrading of drilling rigs and drill-string components; drill-bit procurement and supply-chain management; drilling efficiency and wellbore quality; improvement in drilling-fluid properties and of cementing efficiency and quality. The wells made use of 80 S-shaped wells with positive-displacement-motor/ slim-measurement-while-drilling-tool combination;
