IBM has added master data management (MDM) with InfoSphere, and launched InfoSphere MDM Server and InfoSphere Data Warehouse. The MDM Server has a multiform MDM solution to handle products and customers. It can manages master data shared across a number of operational systems with 'transactional MDM'. InfoSphere has DB2's Information Management products and WebSphere. InfoSphere MDM Server has a set of IBM Industry Models to be used in banking, insurance, telecommunications, and retail data warehouses. InfoSphere MDM Server also has mappings and data integration to insert master data into the model's data warehouse tables to make single version of the data. InfoSphere MDM Server has QualityStage mappings to map the source systems and Industry Model mappings.
