Spatial-temporal comprehensive evaluation of road traffic noise based on fuzzy recognition

Fuzzy recognition model that combined with the rank eigenvalue was proposed to evaluate the road traffic noise, which can remedy some defects of common evaluation. As a case study, this model evaluated the road traffic noise of Jilin Province. The main results could be summarized as follows: (1) Road traffic noise pollution of Jilin Province has decreased evidently in the past 16 years. The rank eigenvalue has declined from 3.83 to 2.03. While in some cities, the pollution becomes more serious. (2) Spatial difference of road traffic noise in Jilin Province is significant and the difference among different regions is the main cause of the whole (Average contribution is 67.4%). While with the average contribution of 78.0%, the serious pollution areas are the main cause of difference inside region.
