摘要
Palygorskite clay was pretreated as catalysts for catalytic destruction of biomass tar formed during gasification of biomass. The catalytic activity measurement was carried out in a fixed bed reactor. Effects of catalysts' weight, particle size, calcinations temperature, residence time and cracking temperature on catalytic activity of tar cracking were investigated. Properties and structure of the catalyst after reaction was characterized by means of XRD. Compared with pyrolysis, palygorskite has a remarkable catalytic cracking on biomass tar. Tar conversion, hydrogen yield and hydrogen selectivity could be increased significantly as the cracking temperature rise. The catalytic activity of palygorskite could be improved by calcination treatment. However, the catalytic activity could be reduced by high temperature calcination.
