DOA estimation for coherent multipath signals of antenna array CDMA systems

An effective direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm was proposed for coherent multipath signals of users of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems with antenna array. Firstly, by exploiting the intrinsic signature of user signals of CDMA system, the despreading and matched processing was carried out to separate the multipath signals of users, consequently the multiple-access interference was. also decreased. After that the integrated DOA estimation method was applied to estimate the DOAs of coherent multipath signals of users. With an N-element antenna array, the proposed algorithm is capable of estimating a number of 2N/3 DOAs of the coherent multipath signals of a user. Simulation results show the effective of proposed DOA estimation algorithm.
