摘要
The homemade acicular zinc oxide has better catalytic effect on the preparation of bio-diesel by respectively studying four different catalysts. It was studied that the bio-diesel was obtained by the reaction of peanut oil and methanol using acicular nano-zinc oxide as catalyst under ultrasonic condition. The influence of ultrasonic frequency, the molar ratio of methanol to peanut oil and the amount of catalyst on the reaction were investigated. The optimum conditions were obtained as follows: the yield could reach over 93% when ultrasonic frequency was 30 kHz, the molar ratio of methanol to peanut oil 7: 1 and the catalyst amount 1.0%. The main performances meet to the German bio-diesel standard at this stage by investigating the quality of the bio-diesel synthesized. The repeated experiments indicate that the acicular zinc oxide has of better catalytic activity, longer using time and better stable catalytic effect than magnesium oxide, calcium oxide and aluminum oxide.
