Study on production of low phosphorus steel from medium phosphorus hot metal at Meishan steel

摘要
As phosphorus content in hot metal is high at Meishan, it is difficult to produce low phosphorus steel. Through analyzing the dephosphorization methods including the dephosphorization pretreatment of hot metal, SRP and the double slag technique, a new method of dephosphorization in one converter was proposed and tested. The steel of phosphorus content less than 0.01% through slag forming in early period and deslagging in the middle could be produced.
