摘要
In order to study realize three dimensional visualization in GIS with VRML and Java, the author do that in two way-first, it is modeled by the VRML and showed in the public VRML browser; Second, VRML browser is developed by Java Applet. The author found that it is easy in developing and distributing but has low precision in expressing by the first means and that is difficult to develop but has the double style supported by the second means. That is a useful try from GIS to WebGIS and from GIS to 3D-GIS, and it will be useful for the City-GIS and Cyber-City.
