<正>Highlights ● A ST15 Klebsiella pneumoniae isolate co-harboring mcr-1.1, mcr-8.1 and ESBLs was first detected in laying hens. ● The pNXQY01-5 harbored the bla CTX-M-55 and mcr-1.1 genes linked to insertion sequences ISEc9 and ISApl1.● The pNXQY01-2, pNXQY01-3, and pNXQY01-5 facilitated the horizontal transfer of resistance genes mcr-8.1, bla CTX-M-65, mcr-1.1 and bla CTX-M-55.Colistin serves as a crucial treatment for multidrugresistant(MDR) Gram-negative bacterial infections. However, its excessive use has contributed to an increase in colistin-resistant strains within livestock production(Binsker et al. 2022).
