We Need to Teach Biology to Engineers

Engineering combines scientific knowledge with creative activities to move beyond current knowledge and produce original solutions to important problems. Engineers must know how something is supposed to work before they can analyze a possible solution. In fact, understanding how things work is the fundamental ability of engineers. Today, this ability applies to biological systems as well as to electrical, chemical, and mechanical systems.
