摘要
Endoscopy, as a crucial diagnostic tool in medicine, has evolved remarkably in recent decades, providing an internal view of the gastrointestinal tract. However, traditional methods face inherent limitations such as patient discomfort, procedural complexity, and device mobility restrictions. As the existing techniques are in constant enhancement, innovation in the field of endoscopy has turned towards less invasive and more efficient solutions. In this context, wireless-powered endoscopic capsules emerge as a promising method in endoscopic visualization [1], [2]. These compact and autonomous devices are designed to capture high-resolution images of the gastrointestinal tract while wirelessly transmitting data, eliminating the need for conventional wires or cables. This approach not only offers greater patient comfort but also opens new possibilities for exploration and diagnosis in hard-to-reach areas [3]. Despite the notable progress, several technical and clinical challenges persist, necessitating innovative solutions to optimize the effectiveness of such devices and to expand their clinical use. For instance, the precise control of the capsule navigation and localization as well as the reduction of its dimensions, without compromising the quality of image acquisition, are challenges to be addressed [4]. © 1998-2012 IEEE.
