摘要
The effect of NaCl, CaCl2 and AlCl3 on the self-assembly of sodium polyacrylate (PAANa) in aqueous solutions was investigated by fluorescence probe, dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that in the PAANa aqueous solutions containing NaCl, the molecular chains of polyacrylic acid exist in the form of coil. However, in the PAANa aqueous solutions containing Ca2+ ions or Al3+ ions, the hydrophobic micelles are formed by self-assembly of the molecular chains via electrostatic interaction. The hydrophobic micelles of 20 nm~40 nm in average diameter are observed at the mol ratio of Ca2+/COO-=0.5. Moreover, the average size of the hydrophobic micelles induced by Al3+ is larger than that induced by Ca2+. The self-assembly mechanism of the PAANa induced by Ca2+ or Al3+ was also studied in this paper.
