Sea clutter suppression in image domain for coast-ship bistatic swothr

The spectrum of the first-order sea clutter received by the coast-ship bistatic Surface Wave Over-The-Horizon Radar (SWOTHR) spreads severely due to the fact that this radar operates in bistatic mode and the receive station is moving. The spatial-temporal characteristics of the sea clutter are analyzed, which is followed by the presentation of the clutter suppression method in image domain. The spatial-temporal spectrum is first calculated, and then transformed to an image, finally the sea clutter at one range-sum bin is eliminated using the images at the adjacent range-sum bins. The computer simulation tells that the sea clutter can be suppressed by using this method.
