Application of multiresolution representation to visualization of 3-D volume data

摘要
Based on the multiresolution representation of volume data, a effective method for displaying any cross section from coarse to fine resolution is presented. By exploiting this, we can browse a volume data at low resolution quickly and then pursuit in high resolution if necessary. The experimental result with artificial and real data are given.
