摘要
TiAlN coating (Ti/Al ratio were 1: 2, 1: 1. 5, 1: 1) was deposited on the surface of M35 high speed steel by arc ion plating technique. The microstructure and property of the coating was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), micro-hardness tester, X-ray diffraction (XRD), three-dimensional surface profiler, multi-functional surface performance tester and high temperature oxidation test. The result shows that with the increase of Al content, the roughness of TiAlN coating increased while the surface quality of the coating decreased and the anti-oxidation property decreased under the same process conditions. TiO 2 and Al 2 O 3 appeared on the surface after oxidation at 800℃. The Ti 0.5 Al 0.5 N coating showed the best comprehensive mechanical properties among the TiAlN coatings with different Al content, which also showed the most excellent anti-oxidation performance at 800℃ in 10 h. © 2018, Materials Review Magazine.
