SCA Packaging International plans to buy Tuscarora Inc., a packaging company, for $230 million. Tuscarora is the leading US supplier of protective packaging systems for electronic products. It has 2,200 employees and its sales last year was $285 million. A global division for protective packaging is likely to be formed. This operation is expected to have annual sales of $450 million. Tuscarora has foreign operations in Mexico, Great Britain and Ireland.
