Describes main features of MTU's new V20-cylinder series 8000 high speed engine. It is rated for outputs of up to 9MW for naval vessels and megayachts, and 8.2MW for high-speed commercial vessels. The new unit features common rail injection technology, sequential turbocharging and flexible electronic management.
