摘要
North American newsprint inventory reportedly fell for the fourth straight month with a $50/tonne price increase to the customers. The inventory of newsprint were contracted for the fourth month in a row. The total inventory at mills and U.S. daily newspapers at the end of June 2002 was 1.249 million tonnes, down 11% and 156,000-tonnes from 1.405 million tonnes at the end of February. The fourth month decline in stocks represented a 4% of total U.S. daily newspaper newsprint consumption in the first half of 2002.
