Application of improved particle swarm algorithm to optimized operation of cascade reservoir power generation

摘要
An improved particle swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm is proposed to optimize the operation of high-dimensional and complex cascade reservoirs. By adopting a differential evolution technique, this combination algorithm can preserve the variety of PSO and avoid the premature of PSO. It was verified by application to a case study and would provide a new approach to optimal operation of cascade reservoirs.
